The entire school community welcomed MIT International School’s tenth year anniversary as AY 2016-2017 kicked off last August 2. The celebration, with the theme “TENacious @ 10,” highlights the school’s achievements and resilience in the past 10 years despite the challenges.
The school year commenced with student assemblies and orientation last Tuesday and Wednesday. New and old students were acquainted with the school’s academic programs and discipline policies, and participated in fun trivia games about MITIS history.
MITIS welcomes students of different cultural backgrounds. Furthermore, the school believes that they can achieve their full potential in a rigorous learning environment with the strong support of their families.
The school’s Faculty and Staff, headed by the School Development Officer, Mr. Boyinggi Yu (rightmost), and Principal, Ms. Mae Kathryn C. Malanum (fourth from the right), were all smiles during the student assembly last Tuesday.
As guided by the school’s philosophy, vision, and mission, teachers and staff members promote a gentle and caring learning environment to achieve success for all students.
And of course, all students are excited for the upcoming activities this tenth year anniversary as they posed for their first selfies this school year.
