Feburary 14, 2018 was a day filled with love for MITISzens as the Student Coordinating Board (SCB) prepared a host of activities to make sure every member of the community felt appreciated and cared for.
In keeping with the spirit of being a family, the SCB sold sweets, flowers, and kiss stickers to students who wanted to show appreciation to their classmates and teachers. They also conducted “Heart Healthy Exercises” every break, where they led Zumba Dances. Students who participated were rewarded with healthy fruit treats. There was also a fortune telling booth where students could possibly hear good news about their future.
Finally, the SCB also hosted Open Mic Lunch. Here, students were encouraged to read poems or perform musical numbers. It was indeed a treat to see, once again, how talented MITISzens are. This activity was such a success that it’s been extended for the whole month of February, which coincidentally celebrates the theme, “Life is Beautiful.”
Hopefully, the SCB made everyone feel LOVED on this special day.
