MITIS students embarked on a trip to Gardenia Factory, Tamayo State Farm, and Dream Play last November 16, 2015 for their Educational Field Trip with the tour care of ARTravel and Tours. Students assembled at 6:00 AM, and the buses started traveling to Gardenia Bread Factory in Laguna at 6:30 AM. Inside the company, the students were oriented on how bread is made and how the machineries work. After, they got a closer view of the process. After, students went to Tamayo State Farm (Sol Y Viento Timbao) where they fished, swam, and rode the balsa while feeding the fishes.
The students fed goats, cows and horses and the lower grades students had a chance to ride ponies. Also, Grades 9-12 planted trees as part of their CSO Activity. At 11:00, students started eating their packed lunch. At 1:30 PM, students arrived at Dream Play, City of Dreams Manila, Parañaque. They had interactive activities such as wall climbing, kung fu dancing, obstacle course, etc. Students also watched the 4D Dream Play Shows and attended the Baking Class. MITISzens left Dream Play at 6:30 PM and arrived at MITIS at 8:00 PM.
The itinerary was applaudable to many. “It was actually great compared to last year because the travel time was relatively shorter, and the activities we had were kind of meaningful and joyful as well,” said by Simon Park Jusung, SCB President. The students traveled through their assigned bus numbers. Bus 1 consisted of Grades K-3, 4,5, and 6; Bus 2 consisted Grades 7,9, and 10; Bus 3 consisted Grades 8, 11, and 12.
