MITIS students visit Philippine Stocks Exchange

In our commitment in bringing our students to the practical world of learning, MITIS Grades 9 and 10 students took their first step into the world of investing and trading.

Last February 26, Tuesday, Grades 9 and 10 students attended an informative and insightful seminar on Stock Market in Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) Tower in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. It was a beginner-friendly seminar in Economics covering topics such as basic stock market concepts, exchange traded funds, stock market quotations, trading cycle, and investment procedures. It was a good learning opportunity for the students to take part in as they endeavor to be empowered academic achievers and life-long learners. (ESLR#1)

The 2-hour seminar was delivered in three parts—the basics of investing and trading as discussed by PSE, rights of investors and traders as presented by CMIC (Capital Markets Integrity Corporation), and investment procedures as delivered by BDO Nomura. All throughout, the students were fairly engaged in the topics as they open their young minds for financial freedom.
